SAUK COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
PROPERTY AND INSURANCE COMMITTEE MEETING
January 10th, 2011

Members Present: Virgil Hartje, Lowell Haugen, Al Dippel, George Johnson, David Riek

Others Present: Timothy Stieve, Carl Gruber, Kathy Schauf

1. Meeting called to order by Hartje at 8:00 a.m. Compliance with Open Meeting Law was met.

2. Adopt Agenda: Motion by Dippel, second by Johnson to approve agenda. Carried.

3. Adopt draft minutes of December 6th, 2010: Motion by Johnson, second by Riek to approve
    minutes. Carried.

4. Public comment: None

5. Communications:
a.. Request by Sauk County Chapter of the Wisconsin Right to Life request to conduct peaceful
rally on the courthouse grounds on January 22nd, 2011 from Noon until 12:30 p.m.. Motion by
Johnson second by Dippel to approve. Carried.
b. Request from UW Extension to use County Board Meeting Room for 11th Annual Get Ready, Get Set, Garden, Saturday, April 2, 2011, from 8:00 a.m. Until 3:00 p.m. Motion by Johnson
second by Dippel to approve. Carried.

6. Business Items:

c. Treasurers Report - No report.
d. Tim gave a report on the old HCC demolition. Everything completed except the crushing of
Concrete, hopefully completed by end of January but weather dependent. Final report from
WasteCap handed out. DNR looking into complaint that Hazardous waste was buried on site,
General contractor Dirty Ducts advised that was not done, Sub contractor Demex also denied this happened.

7. Departmental Updates - Risk Management (Carl Gruber).
a. Carl provided the monthly report for Risk Management.
b. Deductibles: Motion by Dippel, second by Johnson to approve deductibles. Carried.

Departmental Updates - Buildings, Communications/Towers & Landfill (Tim Stieve).
a. Tim provided the monthly report for Buildings/Communications.
b. Tim reviewed vouchers. Motion by Haugen, second by Hartje to approve vouchers. Carried.

c. Discussed resolution regarding updating Building Controls for Reedsburg Human Services and
adding them to the existing METASYS Building controls program. Motion by Johnson, second
by Riek to approve Resolution to be taken to County Board. Carried.

8. Next Meeting date: Regular meeting was set for February 7th, 2011, at 8:00 a.m.

9. Adjourn: Motion by Riek, second by Dippel to adjourn. Carried.
