A quorum may be present consisting of members of the Aging & Disability Resource Center and Veterans Service Office Committee; Board of Health; Economic Development Committee; Executive & Legislative Committee; Extension Education, Arts & Culture Committee; Finance Committee; Health Care Center Board of Trustees; Highway Committee; Human Services Board; Land Resources & Environment Committee; Law Enforcement & Judiciary Committee; Personnel & Insurance Committee and Property Committee.  No governing body will exercise any responsibilities, authority or duties except for the Executive & Legislative Committee. It is possible that a quorum on county board members will be at this meeting to gather information about a subject over which they have decision-making responsibility. This constitutes a meeting of the County Board pursuant to State ex rel Badke v. Greendale Village Board, Wis 2d 553, 494 n.w.2d 408 (1993), and must be noticed as such, although the County Board will not take any formal actions at this meeting. It is also possible that there may be quorums of other County Board Committees present, although those committees will not take any formal action at this meeting.

PROPERTY COMMITTEE MINUTES

February 1, 2024 – Sauk County West Square Administration Building, Room 213

 

Members Present: Smooth Detter, Carl Gruber, James Astle, Joel Chrisler, Bob Spencer

Members Absent:

Others Present: Ian Crammond, Kelly Finup, Jessica Machovec, Brent Miller, Brian Desmond, Sierra Fierro-Fuhrman

At ­­4:00 p.m. Chairman Detter called the Property Committee meeting to order and certified compliance with the open meetings law.

Adopt Agenda: Motion by B. Spencer to adopt the agenda, 2nd by J. Astle.  Motion Carried.

Adopt of minutes from Jan. 4th regular meeting:  Motion by ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­B. Spencer to approve the minutes from the January 4, 2024 meeting, 2nd by C. Gruber.  Motion Carried.

Adopt of minutes from Jan. 9th special meeting:  Motion by ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­B. Spencer to approve the minutes from the January 9, 2024 meeting, 2nd by C. Gruber.  Motion Carried.

Communication: None.

Treasurers Report:  J. Machovec updated the committee that the eight (8) tax foreclosure properties have been published and the information is on their website

Building Services Report:  I. Crammond reviewed the Monthly report with the Committee. 

Communications Monthly Report:  I. Crammond reviewed the Monthly report with the Committee.

Discussion and possible action to set opening bids for the RFP for a broker to market the HealthCare Center and affiliated properties:  B. Miller presented to the Committee the five (5) agencies that submitted proposals.  A recommendation will be made to the Property Committee prior to the County Board Meeting.

Discussion and possible action on a resolution to approve a contract with the City of Baraboo to patrol and ticket unauthorized vehicles for overnight parking in the West Square Parking lot:     Presented by I. Crammond.  Motion by B. Spencer to approve, 2nd by J. Chrisler.  Motion Carried

Building Services Capital Projects Update.  Crammond updated the Committee on the ongoing Capital Projects.

Review and Approval of Vouchers.  Motion by B. Spencer approve the vouchers in the amount of $126,811.86, 2nd by C. Gruber.  Motion Carried.

Next meeting date(s) and agenda items:  March 7, 2024, 4:00 p.m. in the Committee Room at the Baraboo Highway Shop, located at 620 Linn Street.
