Immediately following the adjournment of the joint meeting of the Finance and Personnel and Insurance Committees, the Personnel and Insurance Committee will convene separately for the regular business meeting in Room 213. It is estimated that this will be at 5:30pm; however the exact time may vary.

JOINT FINANCE AND PERSONNEL AND INSURANCE COMMITTEE MINUTES

Finance Committee: Tom Dorner, Lynn Eberl, Mike Flint, Marty Krueger, Tim McCumber

Personnel Committee: Tommy Lee Bychinski, Mark Detter, Shane Gibson, Carl Gruber (virtual), Terry Spencer

Others present: Brian Desmond, Emily Greenwood, Greg Hahn, Kasey Hazard, Lynn Horkan, Richard Meister, Brent Miller, Judge Screnock, Carrie Wastlick

The meeting was called to order by Finance Committee Chairperson Krueger at 5:00 PM. Certification of open meeting compliance was given. Motion by McCumber, second by Spencer to nominate Krueger, close nominations and cast a unanimous ballot for Krueger. Motion carried.

Motion by Detter, second by Dorner to adopt the agenda. Motion carried.

Public Comment: None.

Discussion and Possible Action on the Elected Officials (Clerk of Courts, Coroner, and Sheriff) Compensation Plan for the 2023-2026 Term of Office.

Hazard gave overview of information provided to committee. She reviewed the decision prior elected Treasurer, County Clerk and Register of Deeds. Discussion ensued. Motion by McCumber, second by Detter to set 2023 salaries for Sheriff $121,767, Clerk of Courts $82,418 and Coroner $70,004; then increase each by 1.5% in 2024, 1.5% in 2025, and 1.5% in 2026. Motion carried.

Motion to adjourn by Eberl, second by Gibson. Motion carried.
