Minutes of Meeting

Sauk County Law Enforcement Committee

July 12, 2016

            The regular meeting of the Sauk County Law Enforcement Committee was held on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at 04:15 pm, in the Community Room, 1300 Lange Court, Baraboo, Wisconsin.

The meeting was properly posted and all interested parties were notified.

                        Members Present:        B. Wenzel, J.Dietrich, C. Lehman, W. Czuprynko, T. Kriegl

Members Absent:

Others Present:            R. Meister, L. Lange, J. Spencer, D. Moore, J. Strunz, C Spencer, W. Carns

 

  1. Call to Order and Certification of Open Meeting Law: The meeting was called to order and compliance with the Open Meeting Law was certified by William Wenzel at 04:15 pm.

 

  1. Agenda:  Motion by Lehman seconded by Deitrich to adopt the agenda. Motion carried.

 

  1. Approve minutes of Previous Meeting(s): Motion by Lehman seconded by Krueger to approve the minutes from previous meeting(s) June 14, 2016.

  1. Sauk County Animal Shelter operations update :

Animal Shelter took in 48 dogs and adopted/reclaimed 46 dogs.  They also took in 195 cats and adopted out/transferred out 106 in the month of June. The Animal Shelter also took in 1 rabbit. They adopted out 40 finches. The Animal Shelter dealt with a total of 15 bite cases 10 dogs and 5 cats. They responded to 56 calls and impounded 11 dogs and 32 cats.

 

  1. Review and approve June 2016, expenses for Coroner:

Motion by Lehman seconded by Deitrich to approve payment of the Coroner’s expenses for June 2016 in the amount of $3,343.86. Bills discussed. Motion carried.

 

 

 

  1. Review and approve June 2016, expenses for Sheriff:

Motion by Deitrich seconded by Lehman to approve payment of the Coroner’s expenses for June 2016 in the amount of $97,009.10.  Bills discussed. Motion carried.

 

  1. Monthly update on CJCC.

Prisoner Transports for June– 90 Transports

            9 Juveniles transported for June

            Juvenile cost was $3,176.60

Collected $1,853 and invoiced $622.66. 

Difference of $1,230.34

The next regular meeting of the committee was scheduled for Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 04:15pm. Motion by Deitrich seconded by Krueger to adjourn the meeting at 5:12 pm. Motion Carried.
