June 14, 2016
The regular meeting of the Sauk County Law Enforcement Committee was held on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 04:17 pm, in the Community Room, 1300 Lange Court, Baraboo, Wisconsin.
The meeting was properly posted and all interested parties were notified.
Members Present: B. Wenzel, M. Krueger, C. Lehman, W. Czuprynko, T. Kriegl
Members Absent:
Members Excused: J. Deitrich
Others Present: R. Meister, J. Machovec, L. Lange, M. Stoddard, J. Spencer, D. Moore, J. Strunz, C Spencer
- Call to Order and Certification of Open Meeting Law: The meeting was called to order and compliance with the Open Meeting Law was certified by William Wenzel at 04:17 pm.
- Agenda: Motion by Czuprynko seconded by Lehman to adopt the agenda. Motion carried.
- Approve minutes of Previous Meeting(s): Motion by Czuprynko seconded by Lehman to approve the minutes from previous meeting(s) May 10, 2016. AYES: Czuprynko, Lehman, Wenzel, Kruger. NAYS: Kriegl.
Motion by Kriegl to request the minutes to reflect discussion that occurred within the meeting. Committee stated the minutes reflect decisions made within the meeting. Motion failed without a second.

Doug Klein E9597A State Road 136, North Freedom in regards to Animal Shelter

- Sauk County Animal Shelter operations update :
Animal Shelter took in 43 dogs and adopted/reclaimed 44 dogs. They also took in 97 cats and adopted out/transferred out 24 in the month of May. The Animal Shelter also took in 42 finches. They adopted out 1 rabbit and 1 guinea pig. The Animal Shelter dealt with a total of 20 bite cases 11 dogs, 5 cats and 3 bats. They responded to 38 calls and impounded 11 dogs, 5 cats and 3 cats.
- Review and approve May 2016, expenses for Coroner:
Motion by Czuprynko seconded by Lehman to approve payment of the Coroner’s expenses for May 2016 in the amount of $2,930.68. Bills discussed. Motion carried.
- Review and approve May 2016, expenses for Sheriff:
Motion by Lehman seconded by Czuprynko to approve payment of the Sheriff’s expenses for May 2016, in the amount of $104,790.84. Bills discussed. Motion carried.
- Consideration and approval of Resolution for the Purchase of a Replacement Armored Vehicle for the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Amending the 2016 Budget for Use of Contingency Funds.
Motion by Czuprynko, seconded by Lehman. AYES: (4) Czuprynko, Lehman, Wenzel, Krueger. NAYS: (1) Kriegl. Motion Carried
