November 9, 2015
The regular meeting of the Sauk County Law Enforcement Committee was held on Monday, November 9, 2015 at 09:30 am, in the Community Room, 1300 Lange Court, Baraboo, Wisconsin.
The meeting was properly posted and all interested parties were notified.
Members Present: B. Wenzel, M. Dent, J. Deitrich, D. Moore, C. Lehman

- Call to Order and Certification of Open Meeting Law: The meeting was called to order and compliance with the Open Meeting Law was certified by William Wenzel at 9:30 am.
- Agenda: Motion by Moore seconded by Deitrich to adopt the agenda. Motion carried.
- Approve minutes of Previous Meeting(s): Motion by Deitrich, seconded by Moore to approve the minutes from previous meeting(s) October 13, 2015. Motion carried.

- Sauk County Animal Shelter operations update and budget presentation:
Animal Shelter took in 37 dogs and adopted/reclaimed 24 dogs. They also took in 8 cats and adopted out/transferred out 31 in the month of October. The Animal Shelter also took in 1 ferret, 6 gerbils and 1 guinea pig. They adopted out 1 guinea pig. The Animal Shelter dealt with a total of 11 bite cases, 7 dogs and 3 cats and 1 pig. They responded to 29 calls and impounded 8 dogs and 19 cats and 1 rabbit.
- Review and approve October 2015, expenses for Coroner:
Motion by Deitrich, seconded by Moore to approve payment of the Coroner’s expenses for October 2015, in the amount of $9,376.21. Bills discussed. Motion carried.
- Review and approve October 2015, expenses for Sheriff:
Motion by Deitrich seconded by Moore to approve payment of the Sheriff’s expenses for October 2015, in the amount of $174,983.74. Bills discussed. Motion carried.
- Monthly update on CJCC.

Chairman M. Krueger reported to Committee on an email from Chief Schauf thanking Sheriff Meister in his assistance with several cases.
14. Adjournment
The next regular meeting of the committee was scheduled for Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 09:30 am. Motion by Deitrich seconded by Dent to adjourn the meeting at 11:08 am. Motion Carried.
