April 14, 2015
The regular meeting of the Sauk County Law Enforcement Committee was held on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 09:30 am, in the Community Room, 1300 Lange Court, Baraboo, Wisconsin.
The meeting was properly posted and all interested parties were notified.
Members Present: Wenzel, Dent, Moore
Members Absent:

Others Present: R. Meister, J. Machovec, J. Spencer, L. Lange, M. Stoddard, G. Hahn, R. Greenwood. Peter Vedro, T. Kriegl. M. Krueger, T. Damos
- Call to Order and Certification of Open Meeting Law: The meeting was called to order and compliance with the Open Meeting Law was certified by William Wenzel at 9:30 am.
- Agenda: Motion by Moore seconded by Dent to adopt the agenda. Motion carried.
- Approve minutes of Previous Meeting(s): Motion by Dent, seconded by Moore to approve the minutes from previous meeting(s) March 10, 2015. Motion carried.

- Sauk County Animal Shelter operations update:
Animal Shelter took in 52 dogs and adopted/reclaimed 48 dogs. They also took in 60 cats and adopted out/transferred out 35 in the month of March. The Animal Shelter also took 3 rabbits and 1 cockatiel and transferred 2 guinea pigs, 6 rabbits and 2 finches. The Animal Shelter dealt with a total of 8 bite cases, all dogs. They responded to 35 calls and impounded 19 dogs and 12 cats.
- Review and approve March 2015, expenses for Coroner:
Motion by Moore, seconded by Dent to approve payment of the Coroner’s expenses for March 2015, in the amount of $4,782.70. Bills discussed. Motion carried.
- Review and approve March 2015, expenses for Sheriff:
Motion by Moore seconded by Dent to approve payment of the Sheriff’s expenses for March 2015, in the amount of $106,142.23. Bills discussed. Motion carried

Data Collection Vendor interviews on April 15, 2015
Court Notification system is moving forward.-Sauk County is a Pilot Project
State of Wisconsin is applying for a federal grant for medication assisted treatment.
- Consideration and Approval of Amending Sauk County Code § 5.05(3) to Authorize the Sheriff to Establish the Daily Maintenance and Board Charge for Huber Inmates.
Motion by Moore seconded by Dent to approve ordinance change.
