1.      Meeting called to Order by Chairman Hartje. Present: Hartje, Stevens, Tollaksen and Netzinger.

Absent: Meister

3.      Adopt Minutes of Previous Meeting. Motion by Stevens, seconded by Netzinger.

a.   Airport Report

      No Action.

b.   Update on Economic Development Committee.

      No Action.

c.   Koenig read a letter requesting permission to trap muskrats at Hemlock Park.  No Action.

d.   Muchow stated that the Highway Dept could supply fuel to the Sheriff’s Dept but would not be equipped to perform vehicle maintenance.  No Action.

e.   MSA representatives presented their firm for future consideration.  No Action.

6.      Department: Parks

a.       Review and Approval of Vouchers. Discussion followed.

Motion by Stevens, seconded by Tollaksen to approve September 2011 bills in the amount of

$3,595.91.

            Motion carried.

b.   Review and Approve Bid for Redstone Dam Inspection at 8:30 a.m.

6 Bids were received for Redstone Dam Inspection.

Motion by Stevens, seconded by Tollaksen to award General Engineering the bid for the Redstone Dam Inspection for an amount not to exceed $1,800.00.

      Motion carried.

c.   Discuss DNR Request to Re-stock Mirror Lake. Discussion followed.

      No Action.

d.   Report from Matt Stieve on Park Ranger Activities.

      No Action.

e.   Update on Fish & Game Project at White Mound Dam #4 (Shanahan Impoundment).

      No Action.

f.    Discuss Ayres Associates Engineering Bill for Delton Dam.

Motion by Stevens, seconded by Tollaksen to approve payment to Ayres Associates in the amount of $1,203 for Delton Dam engineering.  Motion Carried.

7.      Department: Highway

a.       Review and Approval of Vouchers. Discussion followed.

Motion by Stevens, seconded by Tollaksen to approve September 2011 bills in the amount of

$471,468.21.  Motion carried.

b.      Discuss Request for Road Name Change to CTH BD and Pit Road.

No Action.

c.       Discuss Highway Committee Road Inspection Tour.

No Action.

d.      Discuss Baraboo Highway Shop Building Improvements.

No Action.

e.       Discuss Annual WisDOT SW Region Conference.

No Action.

f.       Discuss County Road Construction Projects.

No Action.

g.      Approve 2012 Routine Maintenance Agreement with WisDOT.

Motion by Tollaksen, seconded by Netzinger to approve 2012 Routine Maintenance Agreement with WisDOT.  Motion carried.

h.   Consider Resolution Approving Highway Committee Member Attendance at WCHA Winter Conference.

Motion by Stevens, seconded by Tollaksen to approve Resolution approving Highway Committee Member Attendance at WCHA Winter Conference.  Motion carried.

i.    Consider Resolution Setting $30,000.00 Limit on Highway Department Equipment Purchases.

Motion by Netzinger, seconded by Tollaksen to approve Resolution Setting $30,000.00 Limit on Highway Department Equipment Purchases.  Motion carried.

8.      Next Meeting. Motion by Netzinger, seconded by Stevens to adjourn to the next regular scheduled meeting set for Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 8:00 a.m. at the Highway Department office.  Motion carried.
