Members present:  Henry Netzinger, Bill Higgins, Dennis Polivka, Nathan Johnson, and Mary Ellen Murray

Absent: Mike Flint,  Terri Langer                                                                                             Others present: Jennifer Vosen, Theresa Dietz, Dennis Murray

 

1.  Chair Netzinger called the meeting to order at 5:15 p.m. and certified compliance with the open meeting law.  .

 

2.  Adopt agenda - Motion by Polivka, second by Higgins, to adopt the agenda.  Motion carried.

 

3.  Motion by Polivka, second by Johnson, to approve the minutes of the December 14, 2017 meeting.  Motion carried. 

 

4.  Public Comment – none

6. Election of Officers of the Board of Trustees

Election of Chair – Chair Netzinger opened the floor to nominations for the chair of the Board of Trustees.  Motion by Polivka, second by Higgins, to nominate Netzinger for chair.  Second call for nominations for chair.  Motion by Polivka, second by Murray to cast a unanimous ballet for Netzinger for chair.  Motion carried unanimously.

Election of Vice-Chair- Chair Netzinger opened the floor to nominations for vice-chair of the Board of Trustees.  Motion by Polivka, second by Murray, to nominate Higgins for vice-chair.  Second call for nominations.  Motion by Polivka, second by Murray, to close nominations and cast a unanimous ballet for Higgins for vice-chair.  Motion Carried unanimously.

 

 

7. Resolution commending Laura Clary for over 36 years of service to the people of Sauk County.  Motion by Polivka, second by Higgins, to forward the resolution to the Board of Supervisors for their consideration.  Motion carried.

 

8. Resolution commending John McCarthy for over 15 years of service to the people of Sauk County.  Motion by Polivka, second by Johnson, to forward the resolution to the Board of Supervisors for their consideration.  Motion carried.

 

9. Business office report and voucher review – Jenny presented the vouchers and highlighted areas of interest, the operations and aging statements were reviewed.  Motion by Murray, second by Higgins, to approve December 2017 vouchers, in the amount of, $176,946.46.  Motion carried

 

10. Fourth Quarter adjustments -- Fourth quarter adjustments were presented.  Motion by Johnson,  second by Murray, to approve the adjustments as presented.

 

11. Campus development – Jenny announced the members of the Ad Hoc Committee on Continuum of Care.  The committee’s first meeting is January 24, 2018.

                                                          

12. Administrator’s report – Jenny reported that she has attended the regular administrative meetings.  She also presented information on an employee referral program.  Discussion followed.

 

13. Public Comment - none

 

14.  Next meeting date and agenda items for next month - The next meeting will be Thursday February 8, 2018 at 5:15pm.

 

15.  Adjournment - Motion by Polivka, second by Johnson, to adjourn.  Motion carried.
