Board of Trustees Meeting Minutes, October 12, 2017

 

Members present:  Henry Netzinger, Bill Higgins, Dennis Polivka, Nathan Johnson, Mike Flint and Terri Langer

Absent: Mary Ellen Murray

Others present: Jennifer Vosen, Theresa Dietz, Dennis Murray, and Marty Krueger

 

1.  Chair Netzinger called the meeting to order at 5:15 p.m. and certified compliance with the open meeting law.  .

 

2.  Adopt agenda - Motion by Higgins, second by Langer, to adopt the agenda.  Motion carried.

 

3.  Motion by   Polivka, second by Johnson, to approve the minutes of the September 14, 2017 meeting.  Motion carried.  Motion by Polivka, second by Flint to deny approval of the amended minutes of the August 10, 2017 joint meeting with the ADRC.   Motion carried.

 

4.  Public Comment – none

6.  Resolution commending Bill McClary for over 15 years of faithful service to the people of Sauk County

Motion by Polivka, second by Flint, to forward the resolution to the Sauk County Board of Supervisors.  Motion carried.

 

7.  Solar & energy efficiencies update—Discussion followed.

 

8.  Business Office report and voucher review- Jenny presented the vouchers and highlighted items of interest, the operations statement and aging were, also, discussed.  Motion by Langer, second by Higgins, to approve September 2017 vouchers in the amount of, $119,255.01.  Motion carried.

 

9.  Paving project discussion and possible review of bids— Discussion followed.  Motion by Flint, second by Polivka, to call a special meeting on October 17, 2017, to consider a resolution to accept a bid from Fahrner Asphalt Sealers LLC, to sealcoat and restripe the pavement at the Sauk County Health Care Center.  Motion Carried

 

10.  Campus development with assisted living discussion – Discussion followed.

                                                          

11. Administrator’s report – Jenny reported that she has been working on the budget and that she has attended the regular administrative meetings. She reported that the health care center was in phase two of the new mega rules.

12.  Next meeting date and agenda items for next month - The next meeting will be Tuesday October 17, 2017 at 5:45pm in the County Board Room Gallery at the West Square Building.

 

13.  Adjournment - Motion by Flint, second by Polivka, to adjourn.  Motion carried.
