Called to order at 5:30 p.m. by Steve Bach. The open meeting law requirements were met.

Motion by Netzinger, second by Borleske to adopt the agenda. Motion carried.

Motion by Carlson, second by Langer to approve the minutes of the previous meeting. Motion carried.

Public comment - Chairman Bach indicated that the county will be receiving a refund from County Mutual Insurance Company for the Health Care Center building project.

Communication - Art Carlson heard a wonderful testimonial from a family regarding the great care received here.

Business office report and voucher review. Discussion held regarding vouchers, operations statement and aged receivables.

Motion by Carlson, second by Borleske to approve the vouchers in the amount of $118,567.56. Motion carried.

Discussion held regarding the resolution for Joe Ann Meurer.

Motion by Netzinger, second by Higgins to approve the resolution posthumously recognizing Joe Ann Meurer for 5+ years of service to the Health Care Center. Motion carried.

Administrator's report. Kim updated the board on various activities of the HCC over the past month. We are continuing to move forward with Kronos payroll input for managers. Attended the WAHSA fall conference and vendor show. Attended various county and in-house meetings. Met with deputy director of the Dept. of Health and Human Services regarding Medicaid. Hosted our first Safe Halloween in the new building and it was very successful with over 500 kids attending. Thanks to Art and Lorraine Carlson and Steve and Darlene Bach for being our greeters for the day. Looking forward to our first anniversary open house on November 15 and the Craft Bazaar on December 3. We are also planning the Employee Appreciation/Holiday Party for December 14 with lunch from 10:30 - 1:00 and the program at 1:00.
