Special Executive & Legislative Committee

Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 4:30 p.m.

Sauk County West Square Building, Room 213, Baraboo, WI 

 

Members Present:  Fordham, Czuprynko, Hambrecht, Polivka and Krueger (arrived at 5:14 p.m.)

Members Absent:   

County Personnel:  Rebecca C. Evert, Sauk County Clerk; Alene Kleczek Bolin, Administrative Coordinator and

Debra O’Rourke, Interim Corporation Counsel

Others Present:  Becky Hovde, William Wenzel, Peter Vedro, Jean Berlin, Tom Kriegl, David Riek, Scott Von Asten, John Dietz, Chuck Spencer, Dan Holzman, Leslie Lippitt, John Stelle, Mark Frey, Trish Henderson, Elise Patton, Dave Tremble, Judy Brey, Pat Nash, Linda Meadowcroft, Tim Reppen, Bryant Hazard, Sylvia Kriegl, Richard Walker, Matt Joyce, Glen Johnson, Bonnie Johnson, Tut Gramling, Martha Greco, Ellen Paul, Mike Irwin, Carl Rosenstock, Wessie Dietz and Kathy Koehl.   

 

Vice-Chair Fordham called the meeting to order at 4:37 p.m. and compliance with the Open Meeting Law was verified.

 

MOTION (Hambrecht/                   ) to amend the agenda allowing for a second round of public comment.  Motion failed due to lack of a second. 

 

MOTION (Czuprynko/Polivka) to adopt the agenda.  Motion carried unanimously.

Consideration of Resolution To Conduct Countywide Advisory Referendum On Creation Of Nonpartisan Procedure For

The Preparation Of Legislative And Congressional Redistricting Plans:

Interim Corporation Counsel, Debra O’Rourke gave her legal opinion to the committee.  Discussion took place among the committee and other attending supervisors. 

 

Chair Krueger arrived at 5:14 p.m.

 

MOTION (Hambrecht/Fordham) to approve resolution and forward to county board for approval.  Motion failed.

 

MOTION (Polivka/Czuprynko) to adjourn.  Motion carried unanimously and the meeting adjourned at 5:55 p.m.
