The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Krueger at 8:00 a.m. and certification of the Open Meeting Law was verified.
The agenda was approved on a motion by Stevens, seconded by Endres. Motion carried.

Open quotations for designation of the Official Sauk County newspaper:
Quotations received from Baraboo News Republic, Baraboo and News Publishing Company, Black Earth
George Althoff explained quotation from the Baraboo News Republic. As of last year circulation was 4,305 which is a weighted average. 97% of subscribers are in Sauk County. No representative from News Publishing Company. Corporation Counsel stated the quote is in order. Quotations received.
Possible reconsideration of a resolution naming the Official Sauk County newspaper:
Motion by Endres to reconsider, seconded by Fordham. Motion carried. Discussion followed. Fordham makes motion of going with low bid of Baraboo News Republic, seconded by Endres. Stevens makes statement, would like to try something different to see what works. Endres agrees with Stevens but should go with low bid. Krueger votes in favor of motion. No further discussion. Ayes: Fordham, Endres, Krueger. Naye: Stevens. Motion carried.
Consideration of a resolution honoring Larry Volz for years of service:
Motion by Endres, seconded by Fordham to recommend forwarding this resolution to the County Board for consideration at the April 20, 2010 meeting. Motion carried.
Consideration of a resolution honoring Marcy Huffaker for years of service:
Motion by Fordham, seconded by Stevens to recommend forwarding this resolution to the County Board for consideration at the April 20, 2010 meeting. Motion carried.
Consideration of a resolution approving an intergovernmental agreement between Ho-Chunk Nation and the County of Sauk:
Motion by Fordham, seconded by Stevens to recommend forwarding this resolution to the County Board for consideration at the April 20, 2010 meeting. Discussion regarding annual monies that are received; $10,000 Planning & Zoning support. Fiscal note added to resolution. No further discussion. Motion carried.
Consideration of amendments of the Rules of the Board
The Corporation Counsel distributed an email and draft of Committees and Boards, Councils and Commissions. Discussion regarding standing committees and short term other committees which are not required to be in the Rules of the Board. Krueger addresses, Fordham speaks on Southwest Family Alliance which is not on the list so the list is not complete. The Boards, Councils and Commissions can be removed from the Rules of the Board. Special committees do not need to be on the list. Motion by Fordham to approve amendments to the Rules of the Board with changes, seconded by Stevens. No further discussion. Motion carried.
Motion by Endres, second by Fordham, to adjourn and set the next regular meeting date for Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 8:00 a.m. Motion carried.
