Chair Krueger called the meeting to order at 8:00 A.M. and compliance with the Open Meeting Law was verified. MOTION (Bach/Fordham) to approve the agenda. Motion carried unanimously.

Public Comment:
None.

Communications:
Chair Krueger introduced Diane Baumgartner; representative of News Publishing.
E-mail from Mark O’Connell on various WCA election results and new staff.

Discussion and consideration of possible resolution naming the “Official” Sauk County Newspaper.
The County Clerk distributed copies of bids received from Capital Newspapers and News Publishing. Discussion on bid costs, circulation and website availability. News Publishing provided the lowest bid for a greater number of newspapers circulated. Chair Krueger advised the committee that he contacted both publishers leaving a message inviting them to attend today’s meeting for any discussion or comment from them. Supervisor Bach noted for the record that Sauk County holds no animosity towards Baraboo News Republic and selecting a different newspaper is based merely on the lower bid and more newspaper coverage throughout the county. MOTION (Fordham/Bach) to name Reedsburg Independent as the “Official” Sauk County Newspaper for the term April 2012-April 2014 and approve the resolution and forward to the County Board for consideration at the April 17, 2012 meeting. Motion carried unanimously.

MOTION (Bach/Fordham) to approve the resolution and forward to the County Board for consideration at the April 17, 2012 meeting. Motion carried unanimously.

Consideration of resolution Honoring Robert Sinklair for years of service.
MOTION (Alexander/Wenzel) to approve the resolution and forward to the County Board for consideration at the April 17, 2012 meeting. Motion carried unanimously.

MOTION (Fordham/Alexander) to adjourn and set the next regular meeting date for Tuesday, May 1, 2012. Motion carried unanimously and the meeting adjourned at 8:35 a.m.
