Members Present: Krueger, Fordham, Wenzel and Lane
Members Absent: Stevens
Others Present: Schauf, Liebman, Pate, DeMars, Damos and Schernecker
Chair Krueger called the meeting to order at 8:00 A.M. and compliance with the Open Meeting Law was verified.
MOTION (Lane/Fordham) to adopt the agenda. Motion carried unanimously.
MOTION (Lane/Fordham) to approve minutes of the regular meeting on Feb 3, and Special meetings of Feb 18 & Feb 25, 2014. Motion carried unanimously.
Public Comment: None.
Communications:
DeMars, County Clerk, reported she received service of a claim from claimant, Andrew Klees. Liebman advised he has referred to our insurance carrier.
MIS Department:
- Pate presented his monthly report and list of bills for his department.
MOTION (Fordham/Lane) to receive the report and approve bills in the amount of $ 48,131.27. Motion carried unanimously.
- Annual Report presented. Please contact Pate directly with any questions.
- Computer Donations. Request from Sauk County Nutrient Management Farmer Education class for 15 to 20 laptop computers. MOTION (Fordham/Lane) to postpone until next month allowing Liebman sufficient time to review Wisc. Stats. for any legal complications and have Michalek attend our meeting next month to provide a better understanding of this request. Motion carried unanimously.
County Clerk Department:
- DeMars presented her monthly report and list of bills for her department. MOTION (Lane/Fordham) to
receive the report and approve bills in the amount of $ 2,254.74. Motion carried unanimously.
- Annual Report presented. Please contact DeMars directly with any questions. Schauf added that all of the Annual Reports submitted are posted to the county website for easy accessibility.
- Discussion of process for Naming the Official Sauk County Newspaper. Consensus to proceed with bid process as in the past and to send out bid letter vendors with recommendation on the April Executive & Legislative agenda.
Corporation Counsel Department:
- T. Liebman, Corporation Counsel, presented the monthly report and list of bills for his department.
MOTION (Fordham/Wenzel) to receive the report and approve bills in the amount of $ 861.05.
Motion carried unanimously.
- Annual Report presented. Please contact Liebman directly with any questions.
Administrative Coordinator Department:
- K. Schauf, Administrative Coordinator, presented the monthly report and list of bills for her department.
MOTION (Lane/Fordham) to receive the report and approve bills in the amount of $ 300.55. Motion carried unanimously.

County Board Chair Report:
- Chair Krueger presented his monthly report of meetings, activities and concerns over the past month.
Consideration of proclamation for April County Government Month:
MOTION (Fordham/Lane) to approve the resolution and forward to County Board for consideration at the March 18, 2014 meeting. Motion carried unanimously.
Consideration and discussion of the Rules of the Board:
MOTION (Fordham/Lane) to approve draft Rules of the Board and forward to County Board in March for review. Motion carried unanimously.

Performance Evaluation Corporation Counsel. Roll call: AYES: (4). Krueger – aye, Fordham – aye, Wenzel – aye, Lane – aye. NAYS: (0) ABSENT: (1). Stevens. Motion carried unanimously.
MOTION (Wenzel/Lane) to reconvene in open session immediately following the closed session. Motion carried unanimously.
MOTION (Fordham/Wenzel) to adjourn until March 31, 2014. Motion carried unanimously.
