Executive & Legislative Committee - Special

Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 5:15 p.m.

Sauk County West Square Building, Room 213, 505 Broadway, Baraboo WI

 

Members Present:  Vedro, Czuprynko, Kriegl and Wenzel

Members Absent:   Hambrecht

County Personnel:  Becky Evert, Sauk County Clerk, Alene Kleczek Bolin, Administrative Coordinator and

                                     Daniel Olson, Corporation Counsel

County Personnel Absent:   

Others Present:  Kristin White Eagle and Bob Nurre

 

Chair Vedro called the meeting to order at 5:23 p.m. and compliance with the open meeting law was verified.

 

MOTION (Kriegl/Wenzel) to approve the amended agenda.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

Public Comment:  

a) Rob Nurre, re:  in favor of Indigenous Peoples’ Day.

 

Communications:  None.

 

Consideration of Resolution Declaring the Second Monday in October as Indigenous Peoples’ Day in Sauk County:

MOTION (Kriegl/Wenzel).

 

MOTION (Czuprynko/Vedro) to postpone to the November E&L meeting to allow wordsmithing on the resolution before proposing to the County Board.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

Consideration of Resolution Authorizing Agreement With Applied Conflict Solutions, LLC For County Board Consultation Services:

MOTION (Czuprynko/Vedro) to approve the resolution and forward to October County Board for approval. 

Motion carried unanimously. 

 

Consideration of Resolution Amending Rule II.C. to Modify Regular Meeting Agenda Order and Create “New Agenda Items” Category:

MOTION (Czuprynko/Vedro) to approve the resolution and forward to October County Board for approval. 

Motion carried unanimously. 

 

MOTION (Czuprynko/Wenzel) to adjourn.  Motion carried unanimously and the meeting adjourned at 5:50 p.m.
