JOINT MEETING of ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT and FINANCE MINUTES

Economic Development Committee:  Wally Czuprynko, Carl Gruber, Bryant Hazard, Marty Krueger, Tim McCumber, Kristin White Eagle

Finance Committee:  Mike Flint, Marty Krueger and Tim McCumber

Excused:  Tom Dorner, Lynn Eberl, Kevin Schell

Others present:   Kerry Beghin, Ian Crammond, Brian Desmond, Brent Miller, Phil Raab

 

The meeting was called to order by Tim McCumber at 4:00 PM.  Certification of open meeting compliance was given.  Motion by Flint, second by Gruber to nominate McCumber to serve as chair of the joint meeting.  Motion by Krueger, second by Hazard to close nominations and cast a unanimous ballot for McCumber.  Motion carried.

 

Motion by Gruber, second by Hazard to adopt the agenda.  Motion carried. 

 

Public Comment:  None

 

Discussion and Possible Action on resolution using American Rescue Plan Act funds for Broadband expansion projects.

Brent Miller, Administrator, described requests from the LaValle Telephone Cooperative (LTC) and Reedsburg Utility Commission (RUC) to use Sauk County’s American Rescue Plan Act funds to expand broadband in underserved sections of the County.

Motion by Gruber, second by Czuprynko, to approve a resolution to use American Rescue Plan Act funds.  Motion carried.

 

Motion by Hazard, second by Flint to adjourn the meeting.  Motion carried.
