The meeting was called to order and certification of Open Meeting compliance was given at 4:40 p.m. The agenda was approved on a motion by Vedro, second by Riek. Motion carried. The meeting minutes from the prior meeting were approved on a motion by Polivka, second by Riek. Motion carried.

Board Mid-term strategic issues: Great Sauk Trail and Placemaking
Update on Sauk County Development Corporation
Krueger updated the committee on the planning process that is being undertaken to renew the vision and purpose of the organization. The Corporation will meet next on April 20, 2015 to finalize their strategic thinking for short and long term plans.
Update on Great Sauk Trail
Krueger updated the committee on the planning process that is being undertaken to keep this initiative moving forward. April 15, 2015 is the open house in Sauk City for providing the plan to the public. Grants are being written for a Stewardship Grant and WEDC dollars. Intergovernmental cooperation is being elicited. The timeline was reviewed. A Friends Group is anticipated to begin formation as part of the ongoing process.
Highway 12 Stakeholder Group: Highway 12 Bypass, Ski Hi Road to Terrytown
Public Information Meetings for the bypass are concluded at this time. Issues are being resolved on a one-on-one basis on site. The state will combine bi-monthly meeting with the Economic Development Committee’s meeting, at 5:00 p.m. non June 23, 2015 The State and Chamber both have project websites. The County is sending information on Facebook.
Broad band Strategies
No further action required at this time. Bug Tussel is working on a build-out into under-served rural areas.
Placemaking
The committee explored next steps form moving placemaking forward. Identification of resources included a recommendation for a point person for the project. Funding is available in the 2015 budget. Motion by Polivka, second by Vedro, to utilize budgeted project funds to move the initiative forward through a project position to get the groundwork in place. Motion carried.
Motion by Vedro, second by Riek to postpone “crowdfunding”. Motion carried.
Next meeting: Thursday, May 28, 6:00 p.m. Motion by Vedro, second by Riek, to adjourn. Motion carried.
