Members Present: Tommy Lee Bychinski, Rob Sinklair, Virgil Hartje
Others Present: Tim Stieve, Phil Raab, Richard Meister, Steve Pate

1. Meeting called to order by Bychinski at 4:30 p.m. Compliance with Open Meeting Law was met.

2. Adopt Agenda: Motion by Hartje, second by Sinklair to approve agenda. Carried.

3. Approve minutes: Motion by Sinklair, 2nd by Hartje to approve meeting minutes from December 1st, 2011 meeting. Carried.

4. Public Comment - None.

5. Communications – Tim noted the Fire & EMS Representatives did call to note that they would be unable to attend this meeting. Both Representatives advised that they had nothing to report.

6. Business Items:
a. Update on Towers
i. Update on Iowa County lease at Old Spring Green Tower. Waiting for filtering information
from Filtering Company before we can bring to committee for approval. Need to make sure
we are not causing interference problems.
ii. Phil provided an update on where we are at in the Narrowbanding process, narrowbanding
completed for Highway, testing now. Big window for narrowbanding still June – August but
this will be reduced to a one week period during which all the work will be completed.
iv. Phil noted in doing some checking Reedsburg PD does not have enough spare card slots in
their Radio Console to complete the connection via the multiplexers. Phil has an IP solution
that he would like to move forward with versus the Multiplexer. Committee agreed Phil
should get with Reedsburg PD (Chief Tim Becker) and get it worked out.

b. Update on Fiber
i. EDA Grant: Tim noted that EDA has made a request for more documents which Tim has submitted. Also working on issue with DNR 404 Permit.
ii. Tim noted that Phil and he are working with Reedsburg on amending the exchange of services agreement where both Reedsburg and the County would be adding to the agreement. It should be completed and ready for approval at the next meeting.

c. Discussion of Video Taping of county meetings. Steve Pate provided an update on his research
thus far on the video taping of meetings and noted there are a number of options. Steve would
like 10 – 15 minutes to provide a presentation at the next meeting to go through the options.

d. Report from Fire, EMS and Police Representatives. - No reports

7. Next regular meeting is tentatively scheduled for February 2nd, 2012 at 8:00 a.m.
