Members Present:

Brian Basham, Chief Cummings, Thomas Dorner, Lewis Lange, Jessica Mijal, Brent Miller, Pat Rego, Jaime Sathasivam, Judge Screnock

Members Absent:

Michael Albrecht, Jay Englund, Judge Jones, Paul Kujak, Allison Markoski, Timothy McCumber, Delmar Scanlon, Treemanisha Stewart

Others Present:

Nikki Dobbs, Rick Spoentgen, Jennifer Weitzel, Amanda Hanson

1. Call Meeting to Order:

The meeting was called to order and certification of Open Meeting compliance was given at 3:48p.m.

2. Agenda:

Motion by T. Dorner, second by P. Rego to adopt agenda. Motion carried.

3. Minutes:

Motion by P. Rego, second by B. Miller to approve previous meeting minutes. Motion carried.

4. Public Comment: NONE

5. Monthly Justice, Diversion & Support Report:

TAD grant has been submitted- will not find out until end of December if we get it. Grant includes Treatment Court and DSA program. JDS short one case worker and cannot hire someone until Grant status is known. DSA program at limited status currently due to staffing. Since July, ATC has had 4 graduations and 2 terminations.

6. Discussion of current Board makeup and vacancies:

According to the bylaws, 19 members are needed. Brian Basham introduced Nikki Dobbs as his replacement- he will stay on as the alternate for CJCC.

7. Discussion of possible replacement of domestic violence professional member:

Motion by R. Spoentgen to remove Elizabeth Labroscian and appoint Jaime Sathasivam as the domestic violence professional member on the CJCC due to Labroscian no longer being employed at the Hope House. Motion carried.

Still have the School Board member and one citizen board member vacancies.

8. Discussion on future strategic planning:

Will look into prior ones and discuss in detail at the next meeting.

9. Committee Reports:

a.  Adult Justice Systems

Has not met for a few months due to committee member vacancies.

Next Meeting: TBD

b.  Juvenile Justice Systems

Has not met for a few months due to committee member vacancies.

Next Meeting: Tentatively scheduled for November

c.  Victims Focus Committee

R. Spoentgen says the Child Advocacy Center is progressing well.

Next Meeting: November 17, 2021 @ 3p.m. via Zoom.

Next Meeting: November 18, 2021 @ 3:45 p.m. in the County Board Room.
