Sauk County Board of Supervisors

Thursday, June 26th, 2025 – 6:00 p.m.

County Board Meeting Room 326, 3^rd Floor

West Square Building, Baraboo, WI  53913

The Sauk County Board of Supervisors Rules of the Board shall apply to the Special County Board Meeting where not inconsistent with the need for the Special Meeting

Any person who has a qualifying disability that requires the meeting or materials at the meetings to be in an accessible location or format should contact the Sauk County Clerk’s Office at 608-355-3286, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, exclusive of legal holidays, at least 48 hours in advance of the meeting so that reasonable arrangements can be made to accommodate each request.

6.  PUBLIC COMMENT 

a. Registration form located on the table in gallery of County Board Room 326 – turn in to the County     Board Vice Chair.  During Public Comment, any person who is not a member of the body may comment

on a specific item or issue that is on the agenda.  Any comments not related to the agenda should be sent to the County Clerk to forward to the County Board. 

NOTE: The Sauk County Board of Supervisors Rules shall apply to this Special County Board Meeting including, but not limited to Rule III(J) requiring that public comment with each speaker is limited to no more than THREE minutes. Based on the number of people registered to comment, the Chair has discretion to limit public comment to TWO minutes and shall announce said restriction prior to public comments commencing.

7.  COMMUNICATIONS  (All communications are attached to Granicus):  None.

8.  NEW BUSINESS:

a. Resolution  # 43 – 2025 discussion and possible action to Affirm and Ratify Previous Official Action of the Board of Supervisors Authorizing the Sale of the Sauk County Health Care Center, Amend the Agreements Related to the Sale, Enter into the Lease Agreement, Consideration and Determination Regarding Closure of the Sauk County Health Care Center, and otherwise Affirm, Ratify and Authorize Matters Related Thereto.

1.            Reports from County officials and staff regarding the current and projected status of operations and finances at the Sauk County Health Care Center.

2.            Reports from County officials, staff, and counsel regarding the status of the proposed transactions with Aria of Sauk County LLC including information surrounding the Department of Health Service’s refusal to grant Aria’s request to operate the Sauk County Health Care Center as a tenant under the license approval already issued by DHS because such request would require the submission of a new application for licensure.

3.            Update on Sauk County Citizens for Senior Care lawsuits (Sauk County Case No. 24CV451 & 24CV543, Dane County Case No. 25CV1893).
