REGULAR MEETING: SAUK COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
1. Call to Order and Certify Compliance with Open Meeting Law: 6:00 P.M.
2. Roll Call. PRESENT: (30) Czuprynko, Spencer, Eberl, Rego, Kinsman, Klitzke, Scanlon, Deitrich, Bychinski, Krueger, Flint, Curry, White Eagle (via zoom), Gibson, Schell, Dorner, Reppen, Nelson, Hazard, Bushweiler, Stevens, Polivka, Riek, Peper, Gruber, Chrisler, Stehling, McAuliffe, Lohr and McCumber. ABSENT: (1) Detter (Excused).
Staff present: Brent Miller, County Administrator; Brian Desmond, Corporation Counsel; Becky Evert, Sauk County Clerk and Chris Harry, Deputy County Clerk
3. Adopt Agenda. MOTION (Czuprynko/Gruber) to adopt agenda. Motion carried unanimously.
4. Public Comment: None.
5. Discussion and possible action on Resolution 68-2021 Reducing The County Board Size. MOTION (Czuprynko/Spencer).
Discussion took place among the Board of Supervisors.
MOTION (Bychinski/ ) to delay approving the resolution until after the elections.
Chair McCumber ruled the motion out of order based on a recommendation from Corporation Counsel.
MOTION (Nelson/Gibson) to amend Resolution 68-2021 Reducing The County Board Size to read as follows:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, Be it resolved by the Sauk County Board of Supervisors that the number of Supervisors shall be set at 25 31.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, Be it further resolved that the Executive and Legislative Committee shall create 25 31 Supervisory districts as part of the redistricting plan based on the 2020 decennial census and present that plan to the Sauk County Board of Supervisors for approval.
MOTION (Czuprynko/Krueger) to amend the amendment to Resolution 68-2021 Reducing The County Board Size to read as follows:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, Be it resolved by the Sauk County Board of Supervisors that the number of Supervisors shall be set at 25 31 27.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, Be it further resolved that the Executive and Legislative Committee shall create 25 31 27 Supervisory districts as part of the redistricting plan based on the 2020 decennial census and present that plan to the Sauk County Board of Supervisors for approval.
