Meeting Minutes from Highway Traffic Safety Commission

 Thursday, January 24, 2019 – 9:00 a.m.

 

Meeting called to order and certified Open Meeting notice by Lt. James Hodges.

 

Members in attendance:

James Hodges – Sauk County Sheriff

                Jack Meegan – Concerned Citizens

                Trace Frost – BOTS LEL

                Kristi Voelker – Kobussen Buses

                Jeff Spencer – Sauk County Sheriff

                Kurt Schultz – Government Council

                Dana Sechler – Baraboo EMS

                Joe Davis, Sr. – BOTS RPM/WI DOT

                Jeremiah Johnson – WI DOT/State Patrol

                Dylan Strasburg – WI DOT/State Patrol

                Ryan LaBroscian – City of Baraboo

                Ben Bromley – News Republic

                Wendy Rischmueller - Sauk County Highway

 

Motion by J. Meegan, seconded by D. Sechler to adopt the agenda.

Public Comment:

Jack Meegan comment thanks Sheriff’s Dept. and State Patrol for increased safety and involvement.  Kristi Voelker thanks the Highway Dept.

 

Old Business:

Discussion of Street Light at the Corner of CTH BD and Old STH 33.

Pat Gavinski to talk about this next meeting.

 

New Business:

Buss Passing Complaints – Problem Solving

Educational Process.

CTH PF and Old Bluff Trail.

    W Rischmueller stated that “spinney things” were put on the stop signs and that 

P Gavinski would be discussing Flashing Stop Sign with the Highway and Parks Committee Meeting, February 13th at 9:00am.

 

Review Sauk County Quarterly Reports & Statistics:

Lt. Hodges went over Quarterly Reports and Statistics.

 

 

Review WisDOT Quarterly Reports & Statistics:

Joe Davis gave update on Enforcement Grants.

T. Frost gave statewide update.

 

Transportation Safety Report & Highway Safety Input.

None.
