- Consider Approval of the Revised Aging and Disability Resource Center of Sauk County Advisory Committee Bylaws. Review led by S. Blodgett. Revision to Article 5, A: delete “September” and replace with “November”; revision to Article 6.Duties: Change “The ADRC Committee” at the beginning of the sentence to read “The ADRC Advisory Committee”. Motion by T. Gramling to approve the Revised Aging and Disability Resource Center of Sauk County Advisory Committee Bylaws with modifications to Article 5A and 6A, second by V.Demers. Motion carried.
- Aging & Disability Resource Center Departmental Update: S. Blodgett presents ADRC updates. Beginning 6/2/2015 the ADRC will remain open on Tuesday evenings until 8:00 with I/A social workers rotating and Susan providing support. Beginning Wednesday, June 3, 2015, the ADRC will hold office hours at The Good Neighbor Clinic at the old Sauk Hospital in Sauk Prairie. Beginning the week of June 8, there will no longer be a waiting list for Home Delivered Meals in Reedsburg. Those on the list will receive frozen meals once a week for 7 days with one of our bus drivers providing delivery. Currently meals are prepared in North Freedom, La Valle, and Feil’s Catering. Work is in progress to contract with the Sauk County Health Care Center to prepare/provide both congregate and Home Delivered Meals. Planning HDM routes poses difficulty in providing service, so Susan will be working with her former business contact in Iowa City to run create our HDM routes using a software program. If this program proves to make things more efficient, we would potentially purchase the software. In order to be in compliance with GWAAR requirements, the ADRC will create a Nutrition Advisory Committee this summer. GWAAR would like our area plan by September 1, 2015. Susan has directed Cathy Bindl to create a 2016 Emergency Preparedness calendar as a means of meeting information needs across the county for our customer base. Our biggest area in conjunction with GWAAR is the Nutrition Program. S. Blodgett describes a “Breakfast Bag” that was used at her former business that provided HDM customers with weekly breakfast staples – ADRC will consider introducing this in Sauk County. There will be a Public Hearing in Cazenovia on Monday, August 8m, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. at the Fire Station hosted by Representative Ed Brooks and Dan Knutson of the Joint Finance Committee. It is highly recommended that board members and constituents attend this meeting to advocate on behalf of ADRCs and our customers.
- Review Resolution 12-2015: S. Blodgett expresses concern over Congregate and HDM meal prices. She is concerned that we will price ourselves out of the market if we continue to hold firm on prices as listed for those diners who do not qualify under Older Americans Act criteria for meals on a donation basis. She requests permission to explore amending those prices so as to give concessions to those who are chronically ill and/or disabled. Consensus reached to explore with K. Schauf the process for amending those fees yet this budget year.
- 2016 Budget Preparation: S. Blodgett has spoken with Sauk County Controller K. Beghin who assures us that budget materials are coming but are not ready as yet. S. Blodgett requests committee assitance
- Update from the Communities: T. Gramling brings up for discussion that November’s meeting of the ADRC Advisory Committee falls during the week of Thanksgiving. Would like consideration of changing that meeting to Tuesday, November 17, 2015. This will be presented to the Transportation Coordination Committee at the August 25, 2015 meeting for consideration.
- Aging & Disability Resource Center of Eagle Country Board Update: T. Gramling reports that the majority of the ADRC Regional Board meeting discussion pertained to the impact of the 2016-2017 Wisconsin State Budget on ADRCs.
11.Public Comment: None.
- Next Meeting: Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 8:30 a.m.
- Adjourn: Motion by V. Demers to adjourn the Aging & Disability Resource Center of Sauk County Advisory Committee Meeting at 9:55 a.m., second by D. Cheers. Motion carried.
