REGULAR MEETING
ATTENDANCE:
Members Present: Arthur Carlson, Chair, Janice Brown, Vern Demers, Mary Henderson, Theron Hill, Phyllis Johnson, Eileen Klepper, Peter Murray, and Janet Pearson.
Others Present: Trish Vandre, Aging & Disability Resource Center of Sauk County Director, Thomas Litscher, Aging & Disability Resource Center of Sauk County Mobility Operations Manager, and Lee J. Roundy, Aging & Disability Resource Center of Sauk County Fiscal Accounting Technician.
Absent: None
CALL TO ORDER AND CERTIFY COMPLIANCE WITH OPEN MEETING LAW: The Meeting was called to order by A. Carlson at 8:35 a.m. and was certified to be in compliance with the Open Meeting Law.
ADOPT AGENDA: Motion by P. Murray to adopt the Agenda, second by T. Hill. Motion carried.
ADOPT MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING: Motion by J. Pearson to approve the August 31, 2011 Regular Meeting Minutes, second by T. Hill. Motion carried.
PUBLIC COMMENT: None.
COMMUNICATIONS: None.
BOARD DEVELOPMENT: T. Vandre presented information regarding board development for Committee discussion.
DEPARTMENTAL DEVELOPMENT:
A. Director's Update: T. Vandre presented the Director's Update for Committee discussion.
B. 2011 Year-End Service Statistics: T. Vandre presented the 2011 Year-End Service statistics for Committee discussion.
C. Access to Managed Long-Term Care Benefits: T. Vandre presented information on accessing Managed Long-Term Care benefits for Committee discussion.
D. 2012 Aging Unit Plan Amendment: T. Vandre presented the 2012 Aging Unit Plan Amendment for Committee discussion.
REVIEW OF THE 2012 AGING & DISABILITY RESOURCE CENTER GOALS: T. Vandre presented the 2012 goals for Committee review.
ADVOCACY:
A. Response to Mailings Received by Members: None.
B. Update from the Communities: Issues Raised, Priorities Expressed: A. Carlson raised the increased needs requests at the Spring Green Food Pantry. The Committee discussed the need for personal care to be affordable and the need for transportation from Rock Springs to the Neighborly Store. P. Murray presented an update on the Neighborly Store.
C. Legislative Update: T. Vandre presented the Legislative Update for Committee discussion.
AGING & DISABILITY RESOURCE CENTER OF SOUTHWEST WISCONSIN – NORTH BOARD UPDATE: None.
BUSINESS ITEMS:
A. Consider Approval of 2012 Aging Unit Plan Amendment: Motion by J. Pearson to approve the 2012 Aging Unit Plan Amendment, second by V. Demers. Motion carried.
B. 2013 Budget Process: Review Aging & Disability Resource Center of Sauk County Mission and Vision: Withdrawn by T. Vandre.
C. Consider Approval of a New Meeting Schedule for 2012: Motion by J. Pearson to meet the fourth Tuesday of February, May, August, and November, second by T. Hill. Motion carried.
NEXT MEETING: The next Regular Aging & Disability Resource Center Advisory Committee Meeting will be held Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at 8:30 a.m. at the Sauk County West Square Building, 505 Broadway, Baraboo, Wisconsin 53913.
ADJOURNMENT: Motion by V. Demers to adjourn the Aging & Disability Resource Center Advisory Committee at 10:24 a.m., second by E. Klepper. Motion carried.
