Aging & Disability Resource Center Advisory Committee
Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 9:00 A.M.

Members Present: Moore, Demers, Klepper, Brown, Carlson, Waddell, Ellington
Members Absent: Fearson, Spencer

1. Chair Moore called the meeting to order at 9:03 a.m. and compliance with the Open Meeting Law was verified.
2. MOTION (Demers/Carlson) to adopt the agenda. Motion carried unanimously and agenda adopted.
3. MOTION (Demers/Carlson) to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of August 29, 2017. Motion carried unanimously.
4. Public Comment: None
5. Communications: Carlson thanked the ADRC for attending the outreach event in Spring Green. He reported a good response from the citizens that attended.
Blodgett referenced letters of thanks that are received each month and read at the Oversight Committee meetings.
7. GWAAR 2018 Budget: Blodgett presented the 2018 budget forwarded to GWAAR. Discussion followed.
MOTION (Ellington/Waddell) to approve the 2018 GWAAR budget. Motion carried unanimously.
6. 2018 Aging Plan: Blodgett presented the Sauk County Plan on Aging 2016-2018. Discussion followed.
Motion (Demers/Carlson) to continue with the 2016-2018 plan as presented. Motion carried unanimously.
8. Services Updates:
a) Nutrition:
1) Numbers: Blodgett presented a report showing the number of congregate meals served and the donation per meal at each site. Discussion followed. No action taken.
2) Breakout of Donations: Covered above.
3) Spring Green Restaurant Model: Blodgett reported that work is continuing on this. Attempts to have this in Spring Green have been unsuccessful and we are trying to get it switched to Plain. Blodgett also reported the Lake Delton dining site will close at year-end and the Reedsburg site may be moved to the VFW. Discussion followed. No action taken.
b) Caregiver:
1) New monthly support group: Covered in #6 above.
c) Evidence-based Classes for 2018: Covered in #6 above.
d) Community Support and Outreach:
1) Dementia Friendly: Bindl reported on a grant application that was not awarded; however a citizen on the grant committee donated funding to the Dementia Friendly project. The funds were used to purchase an IPad and Projector for use in the Dementia Friendly training sessions. Bindl presented a shorten version of the training covered and reported that 356 people have been trained in Sauk County.
e) EBS: Currently in open enrollment.
9. Other ADRC Updates:
a) Space update: Blodgett reported things are moving along a meeting has been scheduled with the designer who was awarded the request for purchase.
b) Regional Update: Dahl presented a history of how the region was formed and the current structure of the governing board. At the last Regional Governing Board meeting, a new structure was approved along with moving the fiscal agent from Richland County to Juneau County effective January 1, 2018. Demers noted that the vote was unanimous to do so.

12. MOTION (Demers/Carlson) to adjourn until Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 9:00a.m. Motion carried unanimously and the meeting adjourned at 10:13am.
