SAUK COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

MINUTES

 

Aging & Disability Resource Center Advisory Committee

Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 9:00 A.M.

Basement Conference Room B24, West Square Building, 505 Broadway, Baraboo, WI 53913

 

Members Present:  Carlson, Ellington, Rudolph, Whitsell, Wolkowski, Waddell      

Members Absent:   Moore (excused), Demers (excused)

County Personnel:  Blodgett, Hause, Kitzinger

Others Present:   Sharon Wilcox

 

1) Blodgett called the meeting to order at 9:06 a.m. and compliance with the Open Meeting Law was verified.

 

2)  Selection of presiding officer:  Blodgett recommended Whitsell serve as presiding officer as he is in the oversight committee.  All agreed and Whitsell presided over the remainder of the meeting.

 

3) MOTION (Ellington/Carlson) to adopt the agenda.  Motion carried unanimously and agenda adopted.

 

4) MOTION (Waddell/Carlson) to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of May 29, 2018.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

5) Public Comment:  Sharon Wilcox introduced herself. 

 

6) Communications: 

Carlson read a letter from Vice-Chair Demers.  Carlson voiced a complaint about his inability to get this letter prepared by ADRC staff as he requested.  Discussion followed.  The committee will invite Alene Kleczek Bolin to the next meeting to discuss the protocol. 

 

7) Aging Plan Review:

Blodgett presented the 2019-2021 Aging Plan goals approved by the ADRC oversight committee.  Discussion followed.  No action taken.

 

8) Services Updates:

Blodgett presented the report given to the oversight committee last month.  Discussion followed.  No action taken.

 

a) Nutrition:  Blodgett reported on the following items in her report noted above.

1) Restaurant Model

2) Breakfast Bags

3) Lake Delton Senior Gathering Site

4) Meals year-to-date

 

b) Caregiver:  Covered under service updates above.

 

c) Evidence-based Classes for 2018:  Covered under service updates above.

 

d) Community Support and Outreach:  Blodgett shared the responses received from the congregate diners and home-delivered meals recipient surveys.

 

9) Other ADRC Updates:  None

 

10) Aging & Disability Resource Center of Eagle Country Board Updates.

Blodgett reported that she missed the last 2 meetings.  Whitsell asked about the status of the regional contract.  Discussion followed.  No action taken.

 

11) Next meeting date and time: Tuesday, November 27, 2018  9:00a.m.

 

12) MOTION (Ellington/Rudolph) to adjourn until Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at 9:00a.m.  Motion carried unanimously and the meeting adjourned at 10:24 a.m.
