ATTENDANCE:

Members Present: Marcy Huffaker, Chair, Steven Bach, Tommy Lee Bychinski, Arthur Carlson

Others Present: Tony Tyczynski, Veteran Service Officer, Trish Vandre, Aging & Disability Resource Center of Sauk County Director, Lee J. Roundy, Aging & Disability Resource Center of Sauk County Fiscal Accounting Technician

Absent: Douglas Blakeslee

CALL TO ORDER:

The meeting was called to order by M. Huffaker at 8:25 a.m. and was certified to be in compliance with the Open Meeting Law.

AGENDA:

Motion by S. Bach to adopt the Agenda as submitted, second by A. Carlson. Motion carried.

ADOPT MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING:

Motion by T. Bychinski to approve the March 2, 2010 Minutes, second by A. Carlson. Motion carried.

PUBLIC COMMENT:

None registered.

COMMUNICATIONS:

T. Vandre stated that she received a Thank You letter from a family member of a Taxi Fare Assistance Program participant.

BUSINESS ITEMS:

  1. Veterans Service Office
    1. Veteran Service Office Update: T. Tyczynski distributed and presented the highlights from the March 2010/April 2010 Department Update.
    2. Consider Approval of the Monthly Vouchers: Motion by S. Bach to approve the March vouchers, in the amount of $1,689.56, second by A. Carlson. Motion carried.
  2. Aging & Disability Resource Center
    1. Consider Approval of 2009 Year-End Financial Statement: Motion to approve the temporary use of $143,817.00 from Fund Balance to satisfy 2009 multi-program expenses until the actual revenues are received in 2010; to carry forward 2009 excess revenues in the amount of $36,526.00 in the Aging & Disability Specialist Program to be used in the 2010 Aging & Disability Specialist Program; and to use $9,411.00 from Fund Balance to satisfy 2009 Transportation Program expenses, second by A. Carlson. Motion carried.
    2. Consider Approval of Resolution No. 40-10, Proclamation of May 2010 as Older Americans Month: Motion by T. Bychinski to approve Resolution No. 40-10, Proclamation of May 2010 as Older Americans Month, second by S. Bach. Motion carried.
    3. Consider Approval of Volunteer Medical Assistance Transportation Mileage Reimbursement Rate: Motion by S. Bach to approve the volunteer Medical Assistance Transportation mileage reimbursement rate of $0.33 per mile, effective May 1, 2010, second by T. Bychinski. Motion carried.
    4. Discuss 2010 Congregate Program: Dining Center Utilization: Committee discussed Dining Center utilization within the 2010 Congregate Program.
    5. Aging & Disability Resource Center Director Update: T. Vandre presented the highlights from the March 2010/April 2010 Department Update.
    6. Review Monthly Financial Statements: L. Roundy presented the current financial statements and entertained any questions.
    7. Consider Approval of the Monthly Vouchers: Motion by T. Bychinski to approve the March 2010 vouchers, in the amount of $48,925.02, second by A. Carlson. Motion carried.

AGING & DISABILITY RESOURCE CENTER ADVISORY COMMITTEE UPDATE:

The next regularly scheduled meeting is Wednesday, May 5, 2010.

AGING & DISABILITY RESOURCE CENTER OF SOUTHWEST WISCONSIN – NORTH BOARD UPDATE:

S. Bach presented information from the most recent Meeting for Committee discussion.

NEXT MEETING:

The next Regular Aging & Disability Resource Center Committee Meeting will be held Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at 8:15 a.m. at the West Square Building, 505 Broadway, Baraboo.

ADJOURNMENT:

Motion by T. Bychinski to adjourn the Aging & Disability Resource Center Committee at 10:24 a.m., second by S. Bach. Motion carried.
