On Monday, May 11, 2026 at approximately 6:32PM, Sauk County Dispatch received a complaint of a vehicle that was reported to be all over the road. A Deputy from the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office located the vehicle and performed a traffic stop on Lancer Court near Huntington Park Drive in the City of Reedsburg. The Deputy made contact with the operator, who was identified as Matthew Fasbender, age 44, of Reedsburg, WI.

While speaking with Fasbender, the Deputy observed signs of impairment. Fasbender was asked to perform field sobriety tests. As a result of those tests, Fasbender was placed under arrest for Operating While Intoxicated 4^th Offense.

Charges of Operating While Intoxicated 4^th Offense and unsafe lane deviation are being referred to the Sauk County District Attorney’s Office.
