ICAC Arrest - Town of Prairie du Sac

In early February 2026, Sauk County Sheriff’s Office Detectives executed a search warrant at a residence on Rahl Road in the Town of Prairie du Sac as part of an ongoing internet crimes against children investigation. During the search, detectives seized cell phones, computers, and other electronic storage devices.

Following the search, forensic analysis was conducted on the seized items and Investigators discovered a significant quantity of child sexual abuse material. As a result, on August 20, 2026, Detectives arrested Dennis Roelke, 75, of Prairie du Sac, on charges of possession of child pornography. Roelke was taken into custody and booked into the Sauk County Jail pending an initial appearance in Sauk County Circuit Court.

The Sauk County Sheriff’s Office remains firmly committed to pursuing investigations of this nature and to identifying individuals who exploit or victimize children.
