RESOLUTION NO.___ - 2014

APPROVING CONVEYANCE OF CERTAIN REMNANT PARCELS

 TO THE STATE OF WISCONSIN DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

WHEREAS, in 1926, Sauk County acquired certain parcels of real property that comprised State Highway 23 at the request of the State Highway Commission, and said property has been held in trust by Sauk County for the State of Wisconsin since that time; and,

WHEREAS, the State of Wisconsin no longer requires these parcels for highway purposes, and the State is desirous of disposing these parcels, but in order to do so, Sauk County must convey the parcels to the State and end the trust status over these parcels; and,

WHEREAS, there is no further public need for these parcels, and therefore, they should be disposed of.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Sauk County Board of Supervisors, met in regular session, that Sauk County authorizes the conveyance of the parcels described on the attached appendix to the State of Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

For consideration by the Sauk County Board of Supervisors on September 16, 2014.
