GRANTING AN EASEMENT TO ALLIANT ENERGY TO IMPROVE AND PROVIDE UTILITY SERVICES TO THE UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN BARABOO/SAUK COUNTY

RESOLUTION NO. ____ - 2014

GRANTING AN EASEMENT TO ALLIANT ENERGY TO

IMPROVE AND PROVIDE UTILITY SERVICES TO THE

UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN BARABOO/SAUK COUNTY

 WHEREAS, Sauk County and the City of Baraboo are joint owners of the University of Wisconsin Baraboo/Sauk County which is leased to the University of Wisconsin Board of Regents for operation of a campus of the University of Wisconsin Colleges; and,

 WHEREAS, many physical improvements are underway at the University of Wisconsin Baraboo/Sauk County which would be greatly enhanced by improved utility service, and Alliant Energy has identified various improvements that will significantly improve the provision of utility services to the Campus; and,

WHEREAS, your undersigned Campus Commission has had this matter under consideration, and does recommend that the Sauk County Board of Supervisors and the City of Baraboo Common Council approve the underground utility easement attached hereto as addendum.

 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Sauk County Board of Supervisors and City of Baraboo Common Council, met in their respective regular sessions, that the underground utility easement described in the attached addendum is hereby approved.

For consideration by the Sauk County Board of Supervisors on September 17, 2014 and the City of Baraboo Common Council on August __, 2014.
