AMENDING THE BYLAWS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN

 BARABOO-SAUK COUNTY CAMPUS COMMISSION

            WHEREAS, in 1966, Sauk County and the City of Baraboo jointly purchased certain real property which was improved and developed on a 50/50 basis to become the University of Wisconsin Baraboo/Sauk County, and in 1969, the University of Wisconsin Baraboo/Sauk County Campus Commission was created and comprised of County and City representatives; and,

            WHEREAS, the University of Wisconsin Baraboo/Sauk County Campus Commission has been governed by bylaws since its establishment, and recently, those bylaws have been reviewed, and several changes are recommended; and,

            WHEREAS, the University of Wisconsin Baraboo/Sauk County Campus Commission has considered various recommendations for changes, the most significant of which is the ability of the County Board to appoint either the County Clerk or Administrative Coordinator as a representative and for the City Council to appoint either the City Clerk or City Administrator as representative, with other, minor administrative changes indicated on the attached addendum to this resolution.

            NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Sauk County Board of Supervisors met in regular session, that the draft changes to the University of Wisconsin Baraboo/Sauk County Campus Commission bylaws described in the attached addendum are hereby adopted subject to approval by the City of Baraboo Common Council.
