Purpose

To Honor Lynn Horkan for Over Twenty-Nine (29) Years of Service

Background

BACKGROUND: It is the custom of the Sauk County Board of Supervisors to recognize employees who have served the people of Sauk County with distinction. Lynn Horkan faithfully served the people of Sauk County for over twenty-nine (29) years, serving in multiple roles between the Human Services Department and Finance Department.  The last three and one-half (3.5) years serving as the Finance Director.  Lynn provided exemplary leadership and dedication to the county's administrative and financial functions.  Her dedication and faithful commitment to serving Sauk County are appreciated.  Lynn retired from her position with Sauk County on February 2, 2026.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Sauk County Board of Supervisors, who met in regular session, hereby expresses its sincere appreciation and commends Lynn Horkan for her over twenty-nine (29) years of dedicated service to the residents of Sauk County; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chair of the Sauk County Board of Supervisors is hereby directed to present Lynn Horkan with an appropriate certificate of commendation as a symbol of our esteem and gratitude for her service.

 

Approved for presentation to the County Board by the Finance, Personnel, and Insurance Committee, this 17th day of February 2026.
