AUTHORIZING THE BUILDING SERVICES DEPARTMENT TO CREATE ONE (1) HALF-TIME (.5 FTE) MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN POSITION

RESOLUTION NO. _____ - 2018

 Background: The Building Services Department maintains and has oversight of approximately 425,000 square feet of county owned building space. The department maintains all building systems including plumbing, electrical, heating ventilation, and air conditioning, fire alarm, and building security in all of the county owned buildings. The Building Services department has seen an increase in work order requests and renovation project requests over the last few years. Adding a .5 FTE Maintenance Technician position will help with the department in keeping up on regular work order requests, and allow for more preventative maintenance tasks to be completed, thus saving overall maintenance dollars. The 2019 Building Services Budget Proposal includes funding for this position from tax levy.

AUTHORIZING THE BUILDING SERVICES DEPARTMENT TO CREATE ONE (1) HALF-TIME (.5 FTE) MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN POSITION  

            NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by that the Sauk County Building Services Department be authorized to create one half-time (.5 FTE) Building Maintenance Technician effective January 1, 2019. 

For consideration by the Sauk County Board of Supervisors on October 16, 2018.
