AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A HIGH EFFICIENCY BOILER FOR THE SAUK COUNTY HEALTH CARE CENTER

Text Box: Fiscal Impact: [ ] None [ x ] Budgeted Expenditure [ ] Not Budgeted Text Box: Background: The Health Care Center has had a boiler that has not functioned properly since install in 2009. We have anticipated needing to repair or replace for several years. Capital expense budget monies have been set aside in 2017 budget to address needing replacement. Boiler became non-functional in late Spring 2017 and will need to be replaced prior to Fall 2017.

WHEREAS, the 2017 Health Care Center Budget contains $93,000 allocated for the purchase of capital expenses of which the boiler was budgeted for; and,

WHEREAS, the Health Care Center currently needs one high efficiency boiler due to the breakdown of one of the facility’s boilers and it is essential to provide heat for the residents of the facility; and,

WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees has examined the bids received, which are enumerated on the bottom of this resolution; and,

WHEREAS, after examination of the bids the Board of Trustees recommends it to be in the best interest of Sauk County to accept the bid of Pointon Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Sauk County Board of Supervisors,

met in regular session, that the Sauk County Health Care Center be and hereby is authorized to enter into contract for purchase and installment of one high efficiency Fulton Endura Model EDR-2000 boiler for a total cost of $45,675.00; and,
