Resolution to Award a Contract for Professional Land Surveyor Services – County Surveyor

Resolved by the Board of Supervisors of Sauk County, Wisconsin:

BACKGROUND: On July 12, 2023, the Sauk County Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution No. 50-2023 to eliminate the elected surveyor and to have the duties assigned to a county employee or contracted service.  The elected surveyor term ends on January 5, 2025.  County administration has elected to move forward with a contracted service.  The contract for the position will be managed by the Land Resources and Environment Department in collaboration and cooperation with Land Information/GIS.

A Request for Proposals (RFP) was released on July 3, 2024; and closed on August 15, 2024.  Three (3) submittals were received and reviewed based upon the criteria noted with the RFP.  The selection committee reviewed the proposals and is recommending that a contract be awarded to EG Surveying & Mapping, LLC for a not to exceed amount of $66,690. A copy of the proposal has been attached (Exhibit A).

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Sauk County Board of Supervisors, met in regular session, that a contract be awarded to EG Surveying & Mapping, LLC for a not to exceed amount of $66,690 for Professional Land Surveyor Services – County Surveyor.
