To approve amending the 2024 budget for additional allocation of grant funds to combat drug trafficking within Sauk County.
Background
BACKGROUND: The Sheriff’s Office was awarded $27,410 from the Wisconsin Department of Justice to support the investigation and response to drug trafficking within the county. The grant funds will be used to purchase a one-year subscription to Cellebrite Premium digital forensics software which will upgrade our current basic subscription and enhance our ability to retrieve digital evidence of drug trafficking from mobile communication devices. Additionally, grant funds will be used to purchase a mobile drug incinerator which will allow for safe disposal and destruction of drug evidence.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Sauk County Board of Supervisors, met in regular session, does hereby approve an amendment to the 2024 Budget to allocate an additional $27,410 in grant revenues to offset expenses to combat drug trafficking within Sauk County.
