Resolution to create a new Appointed Sauk County Treasurer position and Amend the 2023 Budget

The current Sauk County Treasurer is retiring as of September 5th, 2023.  A new Treasurer has been appointed by the County Board. To have an effective transition from the current Treasurer to the new Treasurer, there will need to be a period of overlap of the two employees for training purposes. The current budget for the Treasurer’s Office does have excess interest revenue funds to cover the costs related to the training period for the new Treasurer.  The training period is expected to be 2.25 months, with a cost of $21,445.00.  

Additionally, the Human Resources Director will create an additional FTE Treasurer position for the 2.25 months of training.
