Purpose

The Town of Merrimac Board amended the Town of Merrimac Zoning Ordinance on February 1, 2023.  A public meeting was held by the Land Resources and Environment (LRE) Committee on May 11, 2023, as requested by the Town of Merrimac, to consider the amendment to the Town of Merrimac Zoning Ordinance rezoning former parcels 026-0202-00000 and 026-0204-10000 further described as part of Government Lot 3 and Government Lot 4, Section 8, T10N, R7E totaling 128.1 acres, from an Agriculture District to a Single Family Residential District. The LRE Committee found the amendment reasonable and recommended approval of the amendment by the Sauk County Board of Supervisors.

Stat §60.62(3) states that no (town) zoning ordinance or amendment to a (town) zoning ordinance may be adopted unless approved by the county board.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Sauk County Board of Supervisors, meeting in regular session, that the amendment to the Town of Merrimac Zoning Ordinance as depicted in Appendix be Approved.
