Purpose

Resolution to support the City of Baraboo’s Knowles-Nelson Stewardship Program land purchase.

 

Background

BACKGROUND: A grant from the Knowles-Nelson Stewardship Program has been tentatively awarded to aid the City of Baraboo for its acquisition of 0.43 acres of land located in the City. The property will be used for conservation and public recreational purposes. A resolution from the County in support of the acquisition would be considered by the Department of Natural Resources in determining whether or not to award the grant to the City of Baraboo.

Resolution Body

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Sauk County is in support fo the City of Baraboo’s applicaiton for Knowles-Nelson Stewardship grant funds for the acquisition of 0.43 acres of land located in the City to be used for conservation and public recreational purposes.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the County Clerk forward a copy of this resolution to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources for consideration in the grant process.
