Purpose

BACKGROUND:

The 2022 Sheriff’s Budget includes partial funding of $352,309 for radio equipment replacement.  The planned replacement was scheduled over 3 years to include 2022, 2023 and 2024.  Due to continuing price increases we are requesting to purchase all equipment in year one or 2022 for a total cost of $1,226,821.

Resolved by the Board of Supervisors of Sauk County, Wisconsin:

 

BACKGROUND:

The 2022 Sheriff’s Budget includes partial funding of $352,309 for radio equipment replacement.  The planned replacement was scheduled over 3 years to include 2022, 2023 and 2024.  Due to continuing price increases we are requesting to purchase all equipment in year one or 2022 for a total cost of $1,226,821.

 

WHEREAS, the Wisconsin State purchasing contract pricing for the radio equipment is $1,226,821; and,

 

WHEREAS, American Rescue Plan Funds (ARPA) were allocated to this project in years 2022, 2023 and 2024; and,

 

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Sauk County Board of Supervisors, met in regular session, does hereby approve an amendment to the 2022 budget to allocate an additional $874,512 to the radio equipment upgrade funded by the ARPA grant.
