Minutes of Finance Subcommittee of Human Services Board - January 11, 2010

  1. Meeting was called to order by Stoeckmann at 4:30 p.m., and it was determined that the meeting was in compliance with the Open Meeting Laws.  Present were Dippel, Alexander, Vertein and Stoeckmann.  Staff present were Orth and Box.
  2. The motion to adopt the agenda was made by Alexander and seconded by Vertein.
  3. Motion to adopt the minutes for the prior month's meeting was made by Vertein with the change that the motion to adjourn was made by Dippel, not Bowers, seconded by Alexander and carried.
  4. Communications:  None
  5. Business Items:
    1. Review and Approve Monthly Vouchers:  Box distributed and reviewed the Monthly Voucher Report.  Several line items were explained.  A motion to approve monthly vouchers in the amount of $2,396,782.00 by Alexander, seconded by Dippel and carried.
    2. Account Receivable Report:  Box distributed and reviewed the November 2009 Accounts Receivable Report.
    3. Approval for Collection Requests:  Approval needed to send 58 accounts to State Collections in the amount of $33,299.43.  Motion by Dippel, seconded by Vertein.  Approval needed for State Collections to pursue legal action on one account in the amount of $636.76.  Motion by Dippel, seconded by Vertein.
  6. Departmental Updates
    1. Monthly Reports:  Box distributed and discussed the November Alternate Care report and the November 2009 Volatile Line Report.  She discussed those Volatile line items that are looking to end the year favorable and those not favorable.
  7. Next Meeting:  February 8, 2010 at 4:30 p.m.
  8. Adjournment:  Motion to adjourn was made by Dippel, seconded by Alexander and carried.  Meeting was adjourned at 4:50 p.m.
