Chair, Patricia Rego called the meeting to order and certified compliance with the Open Meeting Law.
Motion by Brandon Lohr, seconded by Glen Johnson, to adopt agenda. Motion carried.
Motion by Timothy McCumber, seconded by Brandon Lohr, to approve the minutes for the previous Human Services Board Meeting held on June 10, 2019. Motion carried.
Public Comment: None.
Communication:
a. Board Materials: Distributed electronically. Dan Brattset reviewed upcoming meetings he will be attending in the near future.
Business Items:
a. Review and Approve Monthly Vouchers: Distributed electronically. Stephanie Box reviewed the Monthly Voucher Report. Motion by James Bowers, seconded by Glen Johnson, to approve monthly vouchers in the amount of $1,711,328.03. Motion carried.
b. Accounts Receivable Report: Stephanie Box distributed and reviewed the Accounts Receivable Report for May 2019.
c. Approval for Collection Requests: Motion by Timothy McCumber, seconded by Brandon Lohr, to approve sending 14 accounts to Credit Management Control for $1,884.80. Motion carried.
d. Monthly Reports: Distributed electronically. Stephanie Box discussed the May 2019 Volatile Line report.
e. Approve Resolution Commending Diane Shaw for Over 37 Years of Service to the People of Sauk County: Motion by Timothy McCumber, seconded by Brandon Lohr, to approve resolution commending Diane Shaw for over 37 years of service to the people of Sauk County. Motion carried.
Department Updates:
a. Central Wisconsin Community Action Council (CWCAC) Presentation on Housing First Program: Guest speakers Jacob Johnson from the Baraboo CWCAC and Wendy Schneider of the Wisconsin Dells CWCAC discussed the services they are able to assist citizens with. Wendy distributed information regarding Rapid Rehousing. This program assisted 33 households with security deposits and up to two month’s rent. To be eligible, they must be a resident for the last six months and have employment. Once approved for housing, the family has 90 days to find housing. CWCAC is also able to provide financial counseling as well as the Job Center office, where Jacob is located in the West Square Building. September is the next coalition meeting regarding homelessness. Board members are welcome. Wendy will submit information to Dan Brattset for distribution to the board members. Discussion occurred regarding homelessness.
4:13 p.m. Beverly Vertein excused herself.
b. 2020 Budget Projections: Dan and Stephanie presented the preliminary budget sheet. Discussion took place.
c. Board Priorities: Pat Rego discussed board priorities with the below four being the top subjects needed to be discussed during the Human Services Board Meeting. Not all of the priorities will pertain to each departmental board meeting.

2. Housing
3. Health Care
4. Justice Alternatives
Next Meeting: The next meeting of the Sauk County Human Services Board will be August 12, 2019, at 3:30 p.m. in Room 213.
John Miller requested the next agenda to include outside agency requests for the board to form a procedure for how those requests will be submitted and approved in the future.

Motion by Brandon Lohr, seconded by James Bowers, to adjourn at 5 p.m. Motion Carried.
