1. Meeting called to Order by Chairman Meister. Present: Meister, Netzinger, Riek and Flint.
Absent: Peper.
Also present: Stieve; Gavinski; Neumann; Marty Krueger – Sauk Co. Board Chair; Ben Luedtke – V & H Trucks.
2. Adopt Agenda. Motion by Flint, second by Netzinger.
Motion carried.
3. Adopt Minutes of Previous Meeting. Motion by Riek, second by Netzinger.

a. Airport Report.
Marty Krueger gave Airport Report. Meeting regarding funding has been rescheduled.
No Action.
b. Update on Economic Development Committee.
Marty Kruegere gave an update on Future Regions Project.
No Action.
6. Department: Parks
a. Review and Approval of Vouchers.
Matt Stieve is working with Snowmobile Club on paying electric bill and/or getting another meter.
Motion by Flint, second by Netzinger to approve December 2017 vouchers in the amount of $10,272.57.
Motion carried.
b. Parks Department Report.
Matt Stieve gave an update. Possibility of Farm Art Tour going through White Mound Park.
No Action.
c. Update on White Mound Community Building.
Matt Stieve gave an update.
Planning: Bids out January 19, a bid opening tentatively for February 9. February 14 Committee approval. February County Board approval.
Project start March – complete December.
No Action.
d. Review and Approval of Agreement and Contract with the Association of Sauk County Snowmobile Clubs.
Matt Stieve is revising contract. Will bring back next month.

e. Discuss Campground Improvements.
Matt Stieve updated. Seven campsites at White Mound will be improved. Highway Dept will do the work.

7. Department: Highway
a. Review and Approval of Vouchers.
Pat Gavinski will talk to CPZ about water bill and CPZ paying instead of Highway.
Motion by Flint, second by Riek to approve December 2017 vouchers in the amount of
$ 416,940.67.
Motion carried.
b. Highway Department Report.
Pat Gavinski gave update.

c. Great Sauk State Trail Update.
Pat Gavinski gave an update on sorting railroad ties. Marty Krueger is working on funding. Marty Krueger and Dave Riek discussed removal of Sauk Bridge and plans.
No Action.
d. Review and Selection of Quote for Negotiator to Acquire Real Estate for CTH V Hay Creek Bridge Project.
Pat Gavinski received two quotes. He will give Team Engineering until end of week to submit.
Motion by Flint, second by Netzinger to award bid to lowest bidder for negotiator to acquire Real Estate for CTH V Hay Creek Bridge Project.
Motion carried.
e. Review and Possible Decision on Western Star Buyback Program.
Motion by Flint, second by Netzinger to approve purchase of four (4) Western Star Quad Axle dump trucks at a total cost for all four trucks of $ 26,800.00 ($6,700/Quad) after trade on the Buyback Program.
Motion carried.
f. Discuss and Approve Purchase of CAT Wrist-O-Twist.
Motion by Flint, second by Netzinger to approve purchase of CAT Wrist-O-Twist. $12,000 or under, or look into purchase of new machine.
Motion carried.
g. Discussion on Inter-Governmental Rental Agreement.
Pat Gavinski gave an update and will move forward with approval.
No Action.
h. 2018 Construction Update.
Pat Gavinski discussed discretionary funding and when we should complete projects.
No Action.

9. Next Meeting. Motion by Netzinger, second by Flint to adjourn to the next regular scheduled meeting set for Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at 8:00 a.m. at the Highway Department office.
