Vacancy Announcement- County Board Supervisor District 9

VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Sauk County Board Chairperson Tim McCumber announced that Craig Braunschweig was unable to fill his term as County Supervisor after moving out of the district. The vacant represents District 9 (City of Reedsburg, Wards 7, 8 & 9).
Qualified electors interested in filling the remainder the term (ending April 15, 2024) should contact County Board Chairperson Tim McCumber by e-mailing a letter of interest to timothy.mccumber@saukcountywi.gov.
Rule IV (D) of the Board of Supervisors provides that “if a vacancy occurs on the Board, the Chair is authorized to appoint a qualified elector of the supervisory district wherein the vacancy occurs to fill the unexpired term. Such appointment shall be subject to the approval of the Board at the next regular Board meeting following the appointment.”
The deadline for application is 4:30 P.M. on Friday, May 21, 2022; after which timely interviews will be scheduled for prospective candidates so that an appointee can be approved by the Board at the June 8, 2022, meeting.
