SAUK COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS  

AUGUST 15, 2023

REGULAR MEETING:  SAUK COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

1.  Call to Order and Certify Compliance with Open Meeting Law: 6:00 P.M. by Supervisor Carver.

 

2.  Roll Call.  PRESENT:  (24) Roxen, T. Spencer, Rego, Kinsman, Klitzke, Scanlon, Anderson, Krueger, Flint,

     Clemens, Prosser, Schell, Fordham, Hazard, R. Spencer, Carver, Polivka, Burchill, Peper, Gruber, Lohr, Detter,

     Stehling and McAuliffe.  ABSENT & EXCUSED:  (6) Eberl, Lombard, Dorner, Teelin, Deitrich and McCumber. 

     VIRTUAL:  (1) Chrisler.

      

     Staff present:  Brent Miller, County Administrator; Brian Desmond, Corporation Counsel; Becky Evert,

      MOTION (T. Spencer/Carver) to select Supervisor Lohr to chair the meeting.  Motion carried unanimously.

4.  Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance.  Invocation given by Supr. Prosser.  

 

5.  Adopt Amended Agenda.  MOTION (Gruber/Scanlon) to adopt amended agenda.  Motion carried

      unanimously.

        VIRTUAL AYES:  (1) Chrisler.  ABSENT & EXCUSED:  (6) Eberl, Lombard, Dorner, Teelin, Deitrich and

        McCumber.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

        LAND RESOURCES & ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE:

        Resolution 57-2023 In Support Of Dane County’s Application For Transportation Alternatives Program   

        (TAP) Grant for Construction Of The Walking Iron Trail.  MOTION (Krueger/Polivka).

       

        MOTION (Krueger/Rego) to amend the resolution, adding the dollar amount from lines #17 and #18: 

        The amount of funding requested is up to $4.2 million. 

        Motion carried unanimously (Voice vote).

          

        Vote on original MOTION (Krueger/Polivka) to approve Resolution 57-2023 In Support Of Dane

        County’s Application For Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) Grant for Construction Of The

        Walking Iron Trail, as amended.  VOTE:  AYES:  (24) Roxen, T. Spencer, Rego, Kinsman, Klitzke, Scanlon,

        Anderson, Krueger, Flint, Clemens, Prosser, Schell, Fordham, Hazard, R. Spencer, Carver, Polivka, Burchill,

        Peper, Gruber, Lohr, Detter, Stehling and McAuliffe.  NAYS:  (0).  VIRTUAL AYES:  (1) Chrisler.  ABSENT &

        carried unanimously.  Ordinance effective upon passage pursuant to 59.02(2), of Wisconsin State Statutes

        (August 15, 2023).
