The County is able to claim to some Federal and State grants an amount related to the indirect costs of central service departments.  These are departments such as administrative coordinator, accounting, corporation counsel, building services, personnel, etc.  We have historically contracted for preparation of this indirect cost allocation plan.  Contracting saves our time, utilizes outside expertise, and shares risk since dealing with Federal and State funds.
