This agreement allows for HMOs to provide member info to WIC for referral purposes, without WIC agreeing to release any WIC participant information to the HMO. 
HMOs oftentimes change the term “agreement” to “MOU” without changing the content of the document, which is where confusion can occur for WIC agencies.

WIC agencies are agreeing to help refer families back to their HMO if they are having concerns/problems. 

This will be used with about 5 Medicaid HMO's that provide services to Sauk County Residents    This document was created by State of Wisconsin, Department of Health services
