UW- Baraboo/Sauk County Campus in the Executive Dining Room, 1006 Connie Rd., Baraboo, WI
Members Present: Wedekind, Geimer, Lombard, Kolb, DeMars, Haugen
Members Absent: Giese
Others Present: Armstrong, Kohlmeyer, Pleger, Mayor Liston
Chairperson Wedekind called the meeting to order at 8:30 A.M. and compliance with the Open Meeting Law was verified.
MOVED (Kolb/Lombard) to approve the agenda for today’s meeting. Motion carried unanimously.
MOTION (Lombard/Kolb) to approve the minutes from the regular February 16, 2012 meeting. Motion carried unanimously.

Maintenance Report, review and payment of bills:
Pamela Kohlmeyer presented the monthly maintenance report and reviewed the list of bills. She will contact K. Stieve, City of Baraboo Fire Chief to schedule a time to look at the truck they will have for sale to see if will service the needs for the Campus. MOTION (Kolb/Lombard) to receive the report and approve the list of bills submitted in the amount of $ 4,456.93. Motion carried unanimously.
Dean’s Report:
Dean Pleger provided highlights of his study group trip to China with students; hiring of two new professors and an athletic director. A draft resolution will be brought to committee next month for discussion and consideration of resolution approving release of a request for proposal/qualification soliciting vendors to design, build and operate a residence hall on the UW-Baraboo/Sauk County Campus. Once approved by the UW-Baraboo/Sauk County Campus; the resolution is forwarded to Sauk County and to the City of Baraboo. The science facilities will be the next major project with planning to begin with the 2013 budget and possibly completed in 2014-2015.
Facilities planning report:
David Armstrong updated on the geothermal well drilling. Paperwork to be processed with McKinstry before drilling can begin. The student government legislative group is initiating a project to help raise funds to build a permanent outside stage on campus for both students and communities use.

Dean Pleger acknowledged appreciation to both County Board Supervisors for their dedication and service on this committee and appreciation to Mayor Liston for his commitment to this commission.
MOTION (Kolb/Lombard) to adjourn and set the next regular meeting to April 19, 2012 at 8:30 a.m. in the Executive Dining Room. Motion carried unanimously.
